Revelation 22:3

A curse can draw (manipulate) you out of the presence of God where you are safe in order to destroy you. (Abiathar in 1Kings 2:27)

Curses will  manipulate people to leave bible-believing churches to  go to churches which are not on fire for the Lord.

When plagues and calamities strike a land, those who are under curses are usually cleared out, because curses take advantage of such opportunities.

Remedies for curses

1.The blood of Jesus (Galatians 3:13-14, Colossians 2:14)

   This is the most powerful tool for the rescue of anyone that is under a curse.

   Breaking covenants leads to curses (2 Samuel 21:1.

2. The blessing (Deuteronomy 28:2-3, Genesis 9:1)

   When a person enters into a blessing zone or a blessing is spoken over s person’s life, the blessing swallows up any curse that might have been operating in their life.

   The abundance of blessings swallows up curses(Genesis 49:28)

3.Revelation (John 8:32, Isaiah 60:1-3)

   Revelation is light.

   Anything that connects you to the blessing breaks the curse.

4. Prayer and fasting (Isaiah 58: 6-12, 1 Chronicles 4:10)

5.By the prophetic grace (Hosea 4:12, Numbers 6:23-24, Ezekiel 44:30)

6. The force of sacrifice 

   Jesus’ sacrifice broke curses in (Galatians 3:13) , Noah’s sacrifice did likewise in (Genesis 8:20-23) ; the king of Moab in (2 Kings 3:20-27) also turned the battle in his favour.

   The curse brought about by David numbering the Israelites was broken by sacrifice in (2 Samuel 24:24).

   The curse Saul brought on the Israelites my slaughtering the Gibeonites was broken by a sacrifice in (2 Samuel 21:6).

Testimonies have power, they are a clear sign of the raw power of God at work.

Even Jesus’ disciples believed Him because of testimonies ( John 2:10).

Satan will do anything to make people to conceal testimonies, that is why God punishes those who hide testimonies.

What do testimonials do?

1. They are tools of encouragement (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, 1Corinthians 14:26)

   When you hear of what God did for another person you are encouraged.

2.Testimonies birth testimonies (Mark 5:28, 6:56)

3.They defeat the enemy’s plans (Revelation 12:11)

   You can use the testimonies of what God has done for you to defeat the enemy.

4.They prophesy of the future (Psalm 119:111, Revelation 19:10)

5.They are reminders of God’s goodness (Mark 13:37)

   Testimonies are ordained to reproduce themselves in the lives of those that believe.

   A testimony tells you that what God has done for one person he can do for anyone else.

6.They are confirmations that God’s word works (Mark 16:20)

How can I reproduce testimonies in my life? (John 11:40)

You must  :

1.Believe that the testimonies you’re hearing are true ( Acts 22:18)

2.Believe in the power of God that brought about the testimony (Psalm 28:5)

3.Believe that the testifiers are true

4.Believe in the steps (pathways) the testifiers took in order to have the testimony (Jeremiah 6:16-17, Hebrews 6:12)

5.Believe God to reproduce the testimony in your own life (Hebrews 4:2)

6. Give thanks to God genuinely for the testimony you heard

There is no middle ground when it comes to serving God

Every curse has a cause (Proverbs 26:2).

It is essential to understand what causes curses so that we develop a healthy respect for them, which will help us to avoid them. It’s similar to how we avoid snakes because

we know how dangerous they are.

Our life goes either in the direction of the curse or the blessing.

The best way to succeed in life and destiny is to steer your life away from curses by doing what is necessary in order to have the blessing operate upon your life.

Deuteronomy 27:11-13, 30:19, Proverbs 18:21

To choose the blessing is to choose life while to choose the curse is to choose death.

If you want to live long you have to be mindful of what comes out of your mouth (Proverbs 34:13)

General causes of curses

1.Curses from disobedience and sin (Deuteronomy 28:15)

   Doing contrary to what God has commanded automatically opens the door for curses

2.Word curses (Proverbs 18:21)

   These are spoken words by others that have power over the life of a person.

   Don’t stay quiet when a witch releases words over your life, you have to reply those evil decrees.

   Psalm 94:1, 1 Samuel 22:23, Proverbs 11:9, Numbers 22:4-6

   There are powers behind every occurrence in a particular society.

  Use the knowledge of the scripture to neutralize every curse that is spoken over your life

   When we speak in agreement with words that have been spoken over our lives that do not agree with the word of God concerning our lives, we give curses license to take hold over our lives.

   We can also curse ourselves by the words that we speak (Genesis 27:13).

3.Curses from self-centred life (Deuteronomy 27:6-16, Jeremiah 48:10, Acts 5:3, Joshua 7:1, Jonah 2:11)

   We will only find rest if we are in God’s purpose for our lives.

Association with someone who has broken the covenant of God automatically brings you under the same curse.

4.Curses from generational sin

(Genesis 20:2, 27:2, Deuteronomy 23:2-3, Matthew 27:25, Daniel 9:16, Nehemiah 9:1-3)

   These are curses that affect everyone in the bloodline of those that committed the sin.

   The sin of Adam and eve is one such generational curse.

   God visits iniquity up to the fourth generation (Deuteronomy  5:9).

5. Occultic involvement (Deuteronomy 5:6-10)

   This is a primary cause of curses.

Some top bible curses

1.The curse of idol worshippers

   God is always angry when you have an alternative to him (Leviticus 26:1, Exodus 20:4-5 )

   Anything that you value more than God is an idol.

2.The curse of those who dishonor fathers and mothers (Deuteronomy 27:16,Proverbs 20:20, Mark 7:10)

3.The curse of those who cheat and deceive (Malachi 1:14, Acts 5:2-3, Joshua 9:22)

4.The curse of stealing (Zechariah 5:3-4)

5.The curse of lying and swearing (Zechariah 5:3-4)

6.The curse of armed robbers (Job 24:14-18)

7.The curse of non-tithers (Malachi 3:8-10)

8. The curse on disobedient people ( Deuteronomy 28:8-15)

9.The curse of those who mistreat the handicapped (Deuteronomy 27:8-19

10.The curse of those who neglect the weak and vulnerable in our society (Matthew 3:18)

11.The curse of those who trust in men (Jeremiah 17:5-6)

12.The curse of false preachers and false priests (Galatians 5:8, Malachi 2:1-2)

13.The curse of those who don’t listen to prophets (Jeremiah 29:15-19)

14.The curse for wickedness (Proverbs 3:33)

15.The curse of those who don’t help in the Lord’s work (Judges 5:23)

16.The curse on leaders who make people  go into difficulty and hunger (Proverbs 28:27)

17.The curse on those who mislead the public (Proverbs 24:24)

19.The curse of possessing an accursed thing (Joshua 6:18)

   If you bring an accursed thing into your home, the blessing will cease and a curse will take over.

   Have the wisdom to dedicate everything that comes into your possession to God.

20.The curse of those who commit incest (Deuteronomy 27:22)

21.The curse of those who have sex with animals (Deuteronomy 27:21)

22.The curse of certain locations ( Job 5:1-5, 2 Samuel 1:17-27)

   If you don’t remove the curse operating in certain locations it will also affect you.

   Finding yourself at a witchdoctor’s shrine as a christian is an automatic acquisition of a curse.

23.The curse of those who destroy the earth (Isaiah 24:4-6, Revelation 24:18)  

Isaiah 60:1-3

A curse is operating in darkness. Your potential cannot fully manifest and your effort doesn’t amount to much because you’re working against the tide.

A curse is the very opposite of a blessing.

Proverbs 10:22, Genesis 1:28

Material possessions can be an indication of a blessing or a curse, but that is not all there is to it.

A blessing therefore, is the Lord’s empowerment that makes one to succeed without sorrow or toiling.

Increase and multiplication are part of the blessing.

One of the ways to neutralise a curse of to release a blessing that will swallow the curse.

The blessing is superior to the curse.

Blessings and curses are  introduced in the same way.

Hebrews 7:9, Genesis 11:28, Joshua 24:2, Proverbs 26:2

A curse without a cause can not stand.

Sources of curses

1.God (Genesis 12:3)

2.Men pronouncing curses on behalf of God (Joshua 6:26, 2 Samuel 3:28-29, 2 Kings 5:26-27)

3.People with relational authority e.g. parents, husbands (Genesis 31:30-32)

How to break free from generational curses (Galatians 3:13-15)

Jesus paid the price for our redemption through his blood.

The curse came about  by not listening to God and doing what he says. The blessing similarly can be maintained by listening to God and doing what He says.

Tools for eliminating curses

1.Blood of Jesus (Colossians 2:13-14, 1 Peter 1:18)

2.Messenger of God

3.Sacrifice

Proverbs  2:4-15, 1:21-27

1.Desire and separation (Proverbs 18:1, Mark 11:22)

2.Prayer (James 1:5, 1Kings 3:3-5, Daniel 2:16-19)

3.Study (Daniel 9:2, Proverbs 27:27-19, Psalm 119:98)

4.Fear of the Lord (Psalm 25:12-14, 111:10, Job 28:28)

5.Meditation (Joshua 1:8, Habakkuk 2:1-2, 1 Timothy 4:15)

    Meditation is reflection, it goes beyond reading or just hearing something 

    Meditation will provoke direction and revelation.

    Meditation helps you see what God is saying and also produces a harvest of ideas.

    God speaks to people who think.

It is possible to have rest in one area but not have it in so many other areas.Therefore, rest round about connotes having rest in each and every area of your life.

Exodus 3: 2,6-8, Hebrews 12:22

For most people, the main struggle is for which altar to serve, the altar of God or the altar of satan.

Be careful  with alternatives that come your way while you’re waiting on the promise of God.

Every assignment from God to you also has a geographical location attached to it.

You can have the right vision but if you’re in the wrong place it will not manifest.

The garden of Eden represents God’s rest.

Abraham was God’s first attempt to bring man back  to the garden.

Exodus 3:7, Deuteronomy 11:7-21

To have long life outside the will of God is a waste of time.

What does it mean to enter rest?

1.A time to cease from our own works, or own wisdom and depend on Him (God).

2.An invitation from God to participate in His own rest.

3.To be in fellowship with God and His presence

4. Carrying God’s presence and enjoying in God’s presence

5. Return to the garden of Eden

6.Coming to a land flowing with milk and honey

7.A state of being free from slavery and oppression you once experienced.

   God’s rest is a state or place where God rules and manages his creation free from chaos and disorder brought about by sin and rebellion.

How do I access rest round about?

1.Return to the living God and be connected (Genesis 31:3,13)

1 Chronicles 5:18-22

The wisdom from above that you get by asking God to help you in a particular  situation will make the difference.

No matter how good things seem to your eyes consult the wisdom of God, don’t lean on your own understanding.

If you’re trusting in the wisdom of God there’s no need for you to be panicking.

How do we access divine wisdom ? [continued]

6.Through inspiration of the Holy Spirit ( 1 Corinthians 2:10, Proverbs 6:6)

7.Through inquiries (Proverbs 25:1-2, Jeremiah 6:16, Ecclesiastes 1:12-13, Matthew 7:7)

   Asking questions which make God’s wisdom available.

   The place of inquiries is the place of discovery.(Luke 2:46-47)

   God is excited with the inquisitive.

   God rewards inquirers with insight (Hosea 6:3).

8.Through association with the wise(Proverbs 13:20, 1 Corinthians 11:1, 15:33, Psalm 1:1-3)

   You’re acquiring the mindset of the wise as you associate with them, either physically or through their materials such as books, videos ,etc.

   What we associate with determines what we will assimilate, and what we assimilate becomes a part of us.

   The company you keep is a reflection of your mentality.

9.Through instructions(Proverbs 1:1-3, 8:33, 9:9, 19:20)

   Those who hate instructions can never be under the construction of God’s wisdom.

10.Through observation (1 Kings 4:32-34, Proverbs 24:30-34)

   Solomon acquired more wisdom through the observations he made.

2.Protection and  preservation (Proverbs 2:8, 4:6)
   Preservation comes from the wisdom of God.
3.It delivers (Proverbs 2:11-16 )
4.Length of days (long life) (Psalm 91;16, Proverbs 3:2, Genesis 6:3, Proverbs 3:2)
   No matter what you’re facing don’t terminate your life by your wrong confession.
   If you don’t have wisdom of thanking God for where you are, you’ll always be discouraged because you keep comparing yourself to others.
   If we were thankful for the things we complain about, things would change very quickly.
   Joshua 1:8
5.Favor (Proverbs 3:4, 4:8, 8:35, 11:16 ,Luke 2:52)
   Increase in wisdom is increase in favor.
6.Health, healing and vitality (Proverbs 3:8)

Psalm 25:1-2,5,8-9
There is a path ordained by God where you will never suffer shame if you walk in it.
Meekness is a prerequisite to be guided in the ways of God.
The meek admit that they cannot make it in life without walking in God’s ways and therefore they seek for God’s guidance.
Our plans are no match for diabolical wisdom, we’ll be beaten clean without the wisdom of God.
Ephesians 1:21-22, Mark 6:2, 1 Timothy 2:3, Acts 26:18, 
Diabolical wisdom produces power and divine wisdom generates power too.
Power is released when we acquire revelations from the word of God.
The wisdom of God demands that you have to declare the word of God, for that is how you chart your way forward (Luke 21:15, Isaiah 51:15)
Say what you want to see around you and not what you see around you.
1 Corinthians 2:5-8, Deuteronomy 34:9, Psalm 25:14, Proverbs 25:2, 1 Corinthians 2:7, Job 29:3-4, Job 1:1-3,9
When God shows you his paths you’re showcased to your world.
Wisdom is to be searched for through the spirit and the word, and sought for in prayer (Proverbs 24:13-14, 2:4)

Divine wisdom has two primary sources:
1)direct impartation by the spirit of wisdom (Deuteronomy 34:9,2 Timothy 1:7)
   The spirit of a sound mind is the spirit of wisdom.
    A sound mind is a wise mind.
   Wisdom is accompanied by knowledge and understanding whenever it is imparted upon a person (1 Kings 3:11)
