Rev 4:1
• If you are going to partake in supernatural overflow it is important for you to position yourself.
• God doesn’t meet you where you are, you must go to where he wants you to be.
• You must reposition yourself in order for you to see what God wants you to see.
• There needs to be a repositioning in order for new things to happen.

FAMILY BIBLICAL FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP
Eccl 7:12, 10:19, Gen 1:26, 28
• There is no blessing outside God.
• When God blessed man in Gen 1:28, He was speaking to man’s spirit which had no body yet.
• If God never intended for man to come on the earth, he would have remained in spirit state.
• The body was created so that man could operate on the earth.
• A man is blessed if he has money and wisdom.
• Money can answer health questions, security questions and even some spiritual questions.
Luke 16:9-10
• You can use your money for the advancement of God’s kingdom and you will have a reward for it (Mark 10:29-30).
• When you sow into an anointing, you gain access to that anointing.
• One person can take money to a witch doctor in order to terminate life while another can take money to God in order to preserve a life.
1 Tim 6:10
• Any evil you know is perpetuated by the love of money.
• God desires every family to prosper financially, have all their needs met and be able to help others. However, God desires us to have the right attitude towards finances in the home.
• Every family needs to understand that money belongs to God (Hag 2:8) and that we are only stewards (managers).
• God expects us to manage resources on His behalf.
• Faithfulness in stewardship is key.
1 Cor 4:2
• God has a problem with us when things have us instead of us having things.
Mat 25:14-30, Col 3:23-24
• God gives you finances according to your management ability.
• When people fail, they find excuses, usually blaming circumstances and other things instead of their own poor management ability.
• There is a reward for being a good steward.
• A believer is accountable to God, no believer is free to do whatever they want.
• Mature children of God are led by the spirit.
• Even investment should be done as led by the spirit because things look good in our eyes when they are not.

PRACTICAL AND BIBLICAL TIPS FOR MANAGING FINANCES IN THE FAMILY

1. SEEK GOD’S GUIDANCE (Prov 3:5-6)
• Being born-again does not make you financially literate.
• You can have a PhD and yet be financially illiterate, it is not the same thing.
• By surrendering our financial decisions to God, we invite Him to guide our paths.
• The devil will cause you to be obsessed with the desire to make money and you will make wrong decisions.
• Debt can be a weight that affects all areas including your spiritual life.
• Those people in prison are there because of decisions they made.
It is lack of wisdom to spend more than what you are capable of affording on your wedding.
Many people are deep in debt and look back on how they spent the money they borrowed with regret.

2. EMBRACE OPEN COMMUNICATION (Amos 3:3, Prov 15:22)
• Open communication will help you to move in the same direction.
• Consult your spouse about that idea you want to implement, they may have a different view point which can help you refine your idea.
• Finances are a major cause of divorces among couples.
• Transparent communication is key.
• Discuss your financial goals.

3. NOTE (UNDERSTAND) THAT BOTH OF YOU ARE ONLY STEWARDS OF GOD’S MONEY
What does this mean?
i) You have to spend the money according to God’s wishes and word.
ii) You are accountable to God for how you spend His money.

4. MANAGE YOUR FINANCES PROPERLY BY BUDGETING
(Prov 27:23-24, 21:5, Luke 14:28)
• Budgeting starts with thoughts.
• There can be no planning without thinking.
• Every tower builder is a tower thinker first.
• Don’t start budgeting when you have the money, do it before you have it.
• A budget is not a list of wishful spending.
• Your budget is limited by your income so that your spending is within your income.

AREAS IN WHICH YOU SHOULD BUDGET
a. GOD FIRST (Mat 6:29-33, Prov 3:9-10, Mal 3:9-10, Neh 13:9-10, Rom 15:27, Hag 1:5-11, Gal 6:6-9, 1 Cor 9:6-11, Deut 18:1-8, Num 18:1-8)
• God knows whether He is first in our thinking or just an afterthought.
i) Tithe
• The thought of budgeting must be first
• Tithe is not 10% but the first 10% of your income.
• Tithe is about honouring God.
• Understand what the purpose of tithe is.
• Tithe opens the heavens over you, provides “meat” for God’s house, rebukes the devourer.
• The purpose of tithe has not changed.
• Your healing and protection come from God’s house.
• God won’t allow you to benefit from His house when you have no honour for it (Hag 1:5-11).
• There is a connection between what happens in your family and God’s house where you are connected to.
• You can’t thrive spiritually with a closed heaven over your life.
• When the house of God is neglected, those supposed to serve there will flee.
• Tithe is an obligation, just like paying tax is.

ii) Priestly offering

b. Savings / investments (Prov 21:20)
• Spending whatever we get is foolishness.
• If we want overflow, we need to put systems in place.
• Don’t spend money just because it has come, subject the money to a budgetary system.
• Saving is a decision, it starts with one ngwee.
• Sometimes opportunities might come but you will have nothing to invest in that opportunity because you have a system in place where everything you get is spent.
• You must be disciplined and deliberate about this.
• God hates waste.
• For certain people, as soon as they stop working their suffering begins.

5. PRACTICE CONTENTMENT AND AVOID MATERIALISM (Prov 11:28, 21:17, Heb 13:5, Luke 12:15)
• Avoid unwise spending based on impulse or attractive marketing.
• If that thing is not on your budget, leave it alone.
• If you come under pressure every time you see a new outfit, there is a problem.
• Issues of money are spiritual and you must handle them from the spiritual point of view.
• If you are materialistic, you will never become rich.
• Don’t go to the shops and decide what you will buy from there. Decide what you want to buy from home and stick to your mission whilst in the shop.
• Be content with what you have per time.
• Your life is not defined by your possessions.

6. YOU MUST WORK (Gen 2:15, 2 Thess 3:10, 1 Tim 5:8, Prov 24:31-34, Eccl 9:10, Prov 12:11, 22:29)
• Refuse to be lazy, work hard without supervision.
• God blesses the work of our hands.
• There is no special career that makes rich.
• It is the blessing of God on what you are doing that makes you become rich.
• You must work to provide.
• A person who doesn’t provide for their family is no longer in the faith.
• Don’t limit yourself to only doing what you studied in school.

7. DISCIPLINE (1 Cor 6:12, Prov 27:20, 21:17, 20,25-26, 28:20)
• If you lack discipline, nothing works.
• An undisciplined person will go against what they have decided and do what is convenient.
• You need discipline and priority spending.
• Control selfish desires.
• Behind discipline is self-control and that comes from the Holy Spirit.
• That you saw something doesn’t mean you should go for it.
• Foolishness is seen in spending everything.

• If man does not connect to heaven, he will be operating away from the garden.
• Luke 18:1
• You give up on prayer because you do not understand the powers that are generated in prayer.

THE POWER OF THE PRAYER ALTAR
1. The prayer altar is an altar of spiritual empowerment. (Isa 40:28-31, Psalm 63:1-2, Luke 11:13, Acts 1:8)

• A mere human being is infused with divine power because of divine empowerment.
• It transforms weak men into strong men because they hook on to divine power.
• Don’t be too busy to pray or you will become a prey

2. It is an altar of testimonies. (Phil 1:19, Zec 8:20-23)
3. It is an altar of supernatural turnarounds. (2 Chr 20:3-24, 1 Sam 1:27)
4. Prophecy fulfilment. (1 Cor 16:9, Deu 2:24, 1 Tim 1:18)
• The devil fights prophecies but it is on the altar of prayer that prophesies are turned into fulfillment.
5. It’s an altar of divine encounters. (Jer 29:13, Luke 9: 29-30)
• A man that prays is alive to encounters.

Mat 24:12-13, Deut 10:12, Rom 5:5
• One of the major things the Holy Spirit does is to fill a believer with the love for God.
• When you are filled with the love for God, He shows you the will of God.
• When what you do everyday is governed by the will of God, you can say you have a relationship with God.
• Waking up everyday and doing whatever you like is not Christianity.
• Christianity is not belonging to a church.
• The church is like a service station where we are fuelled to go and live for Him.
Rev 1:6
• In the Old Testament, every time there was a strong priesthood, kings ruled well for God and they were in alignment with His will.
Num 16:9
• In the Old Testament, priests had to offer sacrifices daily.
• Priesthood makes a live connection between a community and a deity.
• When the priesthood is active, it means God is among the people.
• The fire on the altar represented the active involvement of God amongst His people.
Mat 3:11
• In the modern-day priesthood, we don’t have to physically put wood and light up a fire and make burnt sacrifices because we have become the tabernacles of God (God dwells inside us).
• The place where the fire of the altar should be burning is your heart.
• If your heart is burning for God, you will be surrounded by His manifest presence.
• When the fire of your heart stops burning, God has gone out of your life.
• If you are on fire for God, you are passionate about the things of God.
• The fire in your heart is the love of God actively at work in a human vessel.
Acts 2:1-3, 1 Thess 5:19, Ezek 36:26-27
• It takes zeal in order to make it to the end.
• Whatever you do for God without love for Him will not profit you.
• When you lose the love for God, you have lost your connection to God and you will be a stranger to everything that concerns God.
• Use love to examine whether you are still in the faith.
• Everything in God’s kingdom is powered by love.
• 1 Cor 13:3, Rom 13:10
• Profitable kingdom service is powered by love for God.
• When you have the love of God in your heart, you have fulfilled the law.

SIGNS THAT YOU HAVE LOVE FOR GOD
1. YOU WILL LOVE HIS WORD (Psa 119:97, Job 23:10-12, Jer 15:16)

2. YOU WILL SERVE HIM (Mat 8:5-8, Exo 23:25, Dan 6:21-22, 3:16-26, John 21:15-16, Phili 1:21, 1 Cor 9:16)

• If you serve God, God will do all He can to defend you.
3. YOU WILL LOVE HIS HOUSE & HIS KINGDOM (Psa 122:1-2, 84:1, 10, 132:1-5)
4. YOU WILL OBEY HIM (1 John 5:3, Eze 36:27, Gen 12:1-4, 17:10, 23, 22:1-3, John 14:21)
5. YOU WILL LOVE HIS PEOPLE (1 John 4:20-21, 3:17-18)
6. YOU WILL GIVE WITH EXCITEMENT (1 Chr 29:3, John 3:16, 2 Cor 8:8)

Mat 24:12-13, Deut 11:1-9, 16-25
• As long as you are not strong, you cannot possess what is rightfully yours.
• You need strength to possess your possessions.
• There is an enemy contending for what is yours.
1 Sam 2:6, 10:15, Josh 1:6
• You can’t endure without certain things in place.
• Love is so important when it comes to serving God.
• If you don’t serve God as a child of God, you are not in covenant.

• The way we think affects the way we live (Prov 23:7).
• What we think is what our life is like.
• If you don’t think it, you can’t live it.
• Nobody will ever arrive at the future they cannot see (Gen 13:14-15).
• God uses our imagination to chart where we are going.
Heb 11:1

1. WE MUST POSSESS A SOWER’S MINDSET (Gal 6:7-8, Col 4:12, Luke 2:36-37, 1 Cor 15:58)
• See everything you do for God as a seed.
• When a farmer is sowing seed, he has it in his mind that he is going to reap a harvest.
• If you are serving God anyhow, you will get discouraged.

2. WE MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT MINDSET (Luke 10:1, John 4;35-36)
• If you are appointed, you know that your labour will attract wages as you keep doing the work.
• Having an appointment mindset will keep you motivated to keep doing your work

Exo 2:23-25, 2 Kings 3:14
• The Hebrew word for respect in Exodus 2:25 is Yada, it means:
To acknowledge, to be acquainted with, answer, appoint.
Psa 74:20
• God does not necessarily respect individuals, He respects their walk before Him which has become a covenant.
• God has respect for covenants.
• God loves us the same way and has made many things to be available for every one but God doesn’t treat people the same way.
• What distinguishes one man from another man is their covenant walk with God.
• God wants to bring every christian to the point of understanding and entering into covenant with Him.
• What differentiates how God treats people is their own covenant walk before Him.
Deut 10:12, Exo 23:20, 23, 25
• Angels are spirits and they become active where there is also an active altar of God.
Gen 28:12
• Altars facilitate the movement of spirits from the spirit realm to the physical realm.
• If you are a chef, you are not cooking from everywhere, there is a particular place of your service, such as a restaurant.
• When you hear about serving God, the next question you must ask yourself is , “where does God want me to serve?”
• You can only serve God where He is present.
• Where God has chosen to place His name is where you serve Him from.
• The place where your service is noted is the designated place of service.
Deut 26:1-2, Psa 50:5
• All the good things you can enjoy from God are on the basis of covenant.
• Be careful with your service.
• Remove all excuses from your service to God and prioritise Him.
• If praise rehearsals make your service to God better, it means it is a very important aspect of your service to God and cannot be taken lightly
• Anything that enhances your service to God is enhancing your personal security and blessing.
• God treats people according to the basis of their own covenant walk before Him or on the basis of the covenant walk with Him of another person they are connected to.
• Covenant is the legal ground God uses to deal with men.
• In a covenant, there is an agreement between two or more parties.
• Make your walk with God count, you will need it tomorrow.
• God intervenes in the lives of men on the basis of covenant.
• When the Holy Spirit leads you into sacrifice, He is leading you into a covenant that He can use to fight for you.
• In order to fight your battles, God looks at what covenants He can use.
• Your service to God lifts you and brings you into a covenant that will give you dominion over your enemies.
• There is no witch anywhere that is not connected to an active altar.
• Organisations only pay people who are in active service to them.
• Are you in active service to God?
• If you are actively serving God, where are you serving?
• Are you in active service to God with your time, resources, talents, gifts?
• Are you able to ask God to remember you on account of your service to Him and can you show Him the record of your service?
• “I used to” doesn’t help you when it comes to serving God, don’t deceive yourself.
• Don’t have a service to God that is in the past tense.
• Don’t allow anything to compromise your service to God.
• Go far in your service to God.
• There should be certain things you cannot do because of your service to God.
• For instance, no matter how bad the economy of the country can get and selling cigarettes is the only profitable business, you should not do that because of your covenant with God.
• Voices are what fight battles in the realm of the Spirit.
• If your service is not documented anywhere, you are finished.
Psa 20:1-3, Num 6:27

• Before the enemy can defeat you, he will ensure that your confidence is dealt a blow.
• Many christians are fearful of sharing their faith because they have no boldness.
• When boldness is in place, signs and wonders will be happening.
• It takes bold speaking to generate miracles.
Acts 4:18, 29, 33-37
• If satan can kill your confidence, he can kill your faith.
Josh 1:7
• Whatever can kill your confidence in God has just killed your faith.
• Spirituality doesn’t bring people backwards, it advances people.
• A person who is praying for God’s kingdom to go forward has prayed himself into good things.
• If God is first to you, you won’t be second to Him.
• Nobody puts God first and ends up a loser in life.
Mark 10:28-30, Luke 6:33
• Understand that you must first take care of God and everything that you need to be taken care of will be taken care of by Him.
• Spirituality doesn’t make a person useless but useful.
Isa 62:1-6, 60:3, 2 Kings 10:1-2, Rom 5:17
• No man can put God first without the help of the Holy Spirit.
• If we become useless servants to God, we can be taken out by the devil quickly.
• Whatever you cannot use to serve or worship God with will become your idol.
• Whatever you don’t carry with you when you go to worship God will become your god.

PRAYER POINTS:

FATHER, BY YOUR MERCY, BRING EVERY MOUNTAINITE INTO DIVINE ALIGNMENT AS WE PURSUE THE ADVANCEMENT OF GOD’S KINGDOM AND ITS INTERESTS AS A PRIORITY, THEREBY LEADING TO GREAT INFLUENCE AND THE RISE OF KINGDOM GIANTS IN ALL SPHERES OF LIFE.
[OBADIAH 1:20-21, GENESIS 17:15-16, MATTHEW 6:33, ISAIAH 62:1]

FATHER, BY YOUR MERCY, GIVE YOUR SERVANT AND THIS COMMISSION WISDOM ON HOW TO EXPONENTIALLY GROW AND MANAGE THIS CHURCH INTO YOUR DIVINE AGENDA OF GREAT MULTITUDES WHILE REMAINING HUMBLE AND HUNGRY FOR MORE.
[ZECH 8:21]

Mat 24:12-13, 22
• To start a race is not enough.
• The devil will use iniquity to quench the fire of the love of God.
• We are in more danger than those who didn’t live in the era of internet and phones.
• The love for God in many children of God has been watered down mainly by the things they listen to.
•Revival starts with individuals, if you are not personally revived, you cannot be effective in the group.
• Backsliding doesn’t mean you stop coming to church, that is just one of the last signs of it.
• Divorce is death of a marriage.
• What you come to see as divorce started as a marital sickness that was ignored and never treated.
• No marriage crashes by accident.
• Once we lose the love of God, we have lost it because the love of God is the cure for sin
• Sin is caused by a) fear b) selfishness
• The love of God helps men to put God first above all else, including themselves.
• In the absence of love for God, you can’t sacrifice for God and you can’t think of any other person other than yourself.
• Satan knows that if the love of God is quenched, God has no more agents.
1 Cor 2:9
• It is the love of God that drives you towards God.
• You spend hours and hours online because your heart and treasure are there.
Mark 1:12
• The Holy Spirit uses the love of God to drive people towards God.
• The love of God causes a person to have godly sorrow when they have done something wrong.
• Men that have a passion for God will also be found around God.
Rom 5:5
• When love is gone there will be prayerlessness and carelessness.
Zec 12:10, 4:16, Dan 6:1-24

PRAYER POINT:
FATHER, BAPTISE ME AFRESH WITH THE LOVE FOR GOD TO DRIVE ME TOWARDS KINGDOM AGENDA.
(ZEC 12:10, HEB 4:16, DAN 6:10, MARK 1:12)

Rom 1:20-22
• If a man lives on this planet and has never come to a point where He glorifies God with his life, he has failed in his purpose.
• Have you come to a point where you recognise the hand of God in your life and thank Him?
• Your acquisitions, achievements and whatever else you do should cause you to thank God.
2 Tim 3:2
• In most cases, when we become less and less thankful, we will lose whatever we were enjoying.
• If you are ever-thankful for your job, you wouldn’t misbehave because you know God gave it to you.
• Thanksgiving takes away pride from you because thanksgiving has an object that it is focused on.
• When people become ungrateful, pride comes in because they think what they have is because of them.
• How can you see what God has done and not be thankful?
• How can you see what God has created and not be thankful?
• The things you hear, see and interact with should help you glorify God.
• True and sincere thanksgiving, especially the kind that is given in challenging circumstances is a true expression of your faith in God and the honour you have for Him.
• It is easier to say “thank you” when something good has been done but difficult to say it when things haven’t changed.
• It is important to thank God not only for what He has done but also for what He has promised to do even though things don’t look like it.
• Giving thanks for what has been promised is what opens the door for you to have what has been promised.
Rom 4:17-21, 5:2-3
• Faith gives you access to the help of God.
• Walking by faith requires you ignoring something while acknowledging something.
• Faith requires that you choose what to look at and what not to look at.
• You have a choice of what you look at.
2 Cor 4:18, 5:7
• Something must be ignored and something must be deliberately focused on.
• Walking by faith is a choice that you must make every single day.
• You have no rights to complain against God.
• Job 1:20-21
• When we honour God with thanksgiving, God honours us back (1 Sam 2:30).

BENEFITS OF THANKSGIVING
1. CREATES AND INCREASES HEAVEN’S ATMOSPHERE IN OUR LIVES, CHURCHES, HOMES, etc.
(2 Chr 5:13, Jam 1:17, Psa 22:3)
• If a life is full of thanksgiving and praises, that life will be full of God’s atmosphere and everything good can happen in that life.
• God is associated with everything good.
• What kind of atmosphere is around your life?
• Complaining takes you nowhere but down.

2. BRINGS ABOUT FRUITFULNESS, INCREASE AND MULTIPLICATION (Jer 30:19, 33:22)

3. ESTABLISHES US IN THE BLESSING (LUKE 17:17-19, 2 Sam 7:18)
• The reason why we sometimes enjoy something for a short while and get back to not having it is because we are not established in it.
• You need thanksgiving to be established in the new realm God has brought you into.

4. OPENS DOORS AND GATES BY DIVINE INTERVENTION (Acts 16:25-26, Psa 100:4, Isa 60:11)
• If your thanksgiving can open the doors of heaven to make you access God, would it be so hard for it to open doors shut against you by the enemy?
