1 Samuel 16:6-7
• When God looks at you, He looks at two things:
1. The state of your heart before Him.
2. The state of your spirit towards Him.
• The state of your spirit is determined by the state of your heart.
• The state of your heart is determined by the principles that you are loyal to.
• If the principles you are loyal to are wrong, you will be a wrong person altogether.
• Life is spiritual and it is controlled from the spirit realm. It operates / functions on divine principles and ordinances, and it is regulated by the word of God and the actions of men.
• Your actions are a by-product of your belief system and the principles that you have subscribed to.
• What is loyalty?
1. The act of binding yourself intellectually or emotionally to a course of action.
2. The quality of being faithful in your support of something.
3. Your inclination, allegiance, dedication to something.
• Loyalty is the character of your heart.
• When God is looking at you, He looks at how loyal your heart is.
4 THINGS GOD IS LOYAL TO
1. HIS WORD (Psalm 138:2, Mat 24:34-35)
2. HIS COVENANTS (Deut 7:9, Psa 89:3-4, Isa 11:1-5, Gen 15:12-15, Exo 2:23-25)
3. HIS PRINCIPLES (Gen 8:22, Eph 6:6-8, Gal 6:7-9)
4. ANY VESSEL OR MAN WHO
a. Trembles and abides by His word (Isa 66:2)
b. Observes in obedience and godly fear the principles and statutes of God (1 Sam 2:29-30)
• The displeasure of the Lord towards you is your weakness.
• The devil understands this well and causes men to be disloyal to the things God is loyal to.
• Priesthood is not a person.
• A priest is a person but priesthood is an office.
• Don’t view the priest as am ordinary person.
• Saul disregarded God’s principles (1 Sam 13:8-13, 15:1-35).
• God cannot prosper you if you are disloyal to things God is loyal to. This makes some christians to keep going around is circles and it look like God’s word doesn’t work because their lifestyle is against God’s principles.
• God is loyal and honours a man who has a deep and sacred approach to His covenant.
• You need to be loyal to people that God has anointed and assigned in your life.
• There are people that are divinely orchestrated to come into your life (Ruth 1:4-17).
• Be loyal to God’s messenger, he operates in an office which is supposed to usher you into your divine destiny.
• When you are loyal to God, He will show you the man that you should submit to.
Deut 28:1-2, 14-15
• When you are sinning, it doesn’t show right there and then.
• When God wants to entrust something to you, He looks at the state of your heart.
